Supply Chain ESG Assessment and Management Support
To strengthen sustainability across the supply chain, Orion conducts ESG assessments and provides management support for its business partners. Starting in 2025, we have been promoting self-assessments among our business partners through a joint supply chain ESG initiative in collaboration with the Korea Food Industry Association. We are also evaluating the ESG performance of key business partners through third-party verification and systematically identifying ESG risks in areas such as ethical management, human rights, occupational safety and health, and the environment. To help mitigate and improve ESG risks in the supply chain, Orion also offers consulting services and training programs to business partners, while implementing a variety of programs to support win-win growth in various areas such as quality, technology, education, and finance.

Win-Win Growth Governance

Dedicated Organization for Win-Win Growth
Since 2016, Orion has operated a dedicated organization for win-win growth and implemented various activities to promote win-win growth with our suppliers based on fair trade. We have formed this dedicated organizational structure centered on the Win-Win Growth Task Force (TF), which reports key mid- to long-term issues to the ESG Committee, or submits them as agenda items for resolution, and continuously promotes mutual cooperation initiatives.

Win-Win Growth and Fair Trade Strategy

Establishing a Fair and Transparent Trading Environment
Orion builds mutual trust with its suppliers based on fair and transparent transactions and strives for mutual growth. Furthermore, we adhere to fair trade principles and continuously refine relevant systems to foster a sound trading culture across the industry. We operate various internal control and prevention systems to strengthen our fair trade framework. In additions, Orion proactively prevents unfair trading practices such as bribery, the acceptance of money or gifts, and price fixing through the Anonymous Reporting Center. In 2018, we became the first company in the confectionery industry to introduce an open bidding system, thereby enhancing transparency in the supplier selection process. Furthermore, in 2021, we revised the “Guidelines on Fair Selection (Registration) of Suppliers” to strengthen the objectivity and fairness of supplier registration and evaluation criteria.

Constant Reinforcement of the Fair Trade System

  • Operation of the Anonymous Reporting Center → Prevention of unfair trade practices, such as bribery, acceptance of money or gifts, and price fixing
  • Adoption of an open bidding system for the first time among Korean confectionery businesses (2018)
  • Revision of the “Guidelines on Fair Selection (Registration) of Suppliers” (2021)

This policy covers areas such as win-win growth and fair trade with business partners, fair business conduct, clear separation of business and personal matters, protection of internal information, and reporting of unethical conduct, and all employees shall adhere to these as fundamental principles when performing their duties. Further details can be found in the “Orion Code of Ethics” and “Appendix: Guidelines for Ethical Decision-Making.”
